Update from the XC Race

For those who read my post about the XC training last weekend, I am happy to report that all the kids did a great job at giving their best... unfortunately, the rain last night moved the race from Parc Lafontaine to the schoolyard, where it was close to impossible to track everyone racing (the track was about 110 m long by 4 meters wide with 4 90 degree turns).

The younger kids competed in smaller heats, therefore the results were accurate.  As for the eldest kids, the number of participants per heat, plus the absence of any control whatsoever on the number of laps completed created enough confusion for the results to be invalid.  That's too bad for those who took it seriously.

Pierre de Coubertin said "L'important est de participer"... Congratulations to all!
